How to Enrol

Enrolment Process for Long Day Care / Extended Kindergarten

Children can be registered any time after they are born, when you know what your childcare or integrated kindergarten needs are.

Before registering through the City of Port Phillip, we encourage you to make appointments to visit all the centres you’re interested in. This is an opportunity to be sure of your references, meet staff, learn about programs and see them in action.

Registration Process

1. Join the City of Port Phillip Children’s Services Wait List though their registration form

2. To give yourself the best chance of a childcare or integrated kindergarten place:

   - Select multiple centres (up to maximum of five), but only those centres that you are sure you would accept an offer from.

   - Select multiple days of the week if you are not tied to specific working days & be flexible.

3. An offer of a place is only possible when your requirements match a centre’s vacancy.

4. Accepting an offer is a good idea, even if it does not match your exact needs.

5. Once you are already enrolled and attending a service, additional or more preferred days can be offered to you first.
